Established as a National Park in 1929, which expanded to its present-day size in 1950, Grand Teton has drawn humans to its majestic beauty and diverse flora and fauna since the end of the Pleistocene Ice Age more than 11,000 years ago. Today, the park is open 24 hours per day, year-round, although some park roads close seasonally during the winter.
